Turned around and this is what I saw...

The last year has been somewhat of a "change" year for our family here at Buck Creek.  Some good and some not so good ...but in either case sometimes when we look back it is hard to believe that we made it, and that is true in our family and yours I am sure!

Goats -We have seen our goat herd grow and it has been a learning experience full of its own challenges but also full of great fun!  The goats have unique personalities and are very inquisitive which comes across as mischievous much of the time!  They are always looking for new adventures and new pasture so you better keep the gate shut and watch out where you park your pickup!  And with their addition Buck Creek now has the ability to provide goat meat which is a great high protein low fat choice. Right now it is very seasonal but if it becomes popular we will add it to our main menu of items. Did you know this the number 1 eaten meat in the world?

Cattle- Beef has been a challenging and exciting area in our business! We have new partnerships with beef as we now supply the Amarillo Food Bank with beef which we are very proud of and we have found some new farms that help keep our supply up. With these partnerships we now have the ability to make quarters, halves and whole beeves available in a more timely manner and we are able to help feed the hungry throughout the Texas panhandle where the Amarillo Food Bank serves! If you’re looking to fill your freezer with beef now is the time to place those orders. You can do that on the website or give Mona a call at 806-683-2590.

Chicken- This has been a tough year for chicken as processing cost have gone through the roof as there are only 2 processing facilities in the state and they keep raising prices. Please know that we are doing our best to hold prices down but it has been tough to manage. The best way to manage this on your end is to get a subscription… please let us know how we can serve you best in this and all our meats!

We are so thankful for you and how you support our family and sustainable farming. We are working to serve you in new ways and to keep ourselves competitive with those who emulate what we do. Thanks again …R & M (Richard & Mona)
